About your next role
  • Provide tailored mentoring and support to RAES participants during the initial stages of their employment to foster confidence and stability.
  • Proactively outreach to employers and participants to identify challenges and implement effective solutions for job retention.
  • Coordinate with site teams and claims officers to ensure accurate information regarding training, outcomes, and services.
  • Accurately record interactions in the Central Management System (CMS) and Employment and Community Services Network (ECSN).
  • Assist participants with practical needs such as understanding payslips, navigating rosters, and opening bank accounts.
  • Conduct regular communication with employers to monitor progress and ensure mutual satisfaction in the workplace.
  • Track the progress of outcome claims and escalate any discrepancies for resolution.

What you will need to bring

To be successful in this role, you should possess a background in case management or employment services, paired with a genuine commitment to ALPA's mission and values.

  • Experience working with individuals seeking employment, ideally in a support capacity.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style for diverse audiences across varying cultural backgrounds and language abilities
  • The ability to build rapport and trust with job seekers using an empathetic, strengths-based approach.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and experience using the ECSN for case management and reporting.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, preferably with experience working in remote First Nations communities
  • Formal education in human services, social work, community development, or a related field

Mandatory Requirements

  • Ability to travel to remote ALPA communities via vehicle or light aircraft.
  • Physical capacity to meet aviation safety requirements (weight limit of 140kg for light aircraft travel).
  • Clearance to work within correctional facilities and with vulnerable populations
